Will you be offering a conference app?
Yes, a conference app will be available to help you plan your sessions, learn about speakers and tracks, and network with other attendees.

 

Will the virtual conference be accredited?
ISAM-CSAM 2020 is now fully accredited by:

• The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada for 28.5 hours of Category 1 Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits;
• The Canadian Addiction Counsellors Certification Federation for up to 24 Continuing Education Units (CEUs);
• The Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association for up to 28.5 CEUs;
• The Canadian College of Family Physicians (CFPC) for 29 Mainpro CME credits for the 4 days (includes Fundamentals).

 

How will my committee meeting be held at the virtual conference? 
CSAM committees will meet either by Zoom or teleconference.

 

Will there be any bursaries for students or funding support for international attendees?
Yes, please find the available grants and bursaries here.

 

I’ve submitted an abstract - what happens now?
Once the submission window closes, the conference planning committee will determine which abstracts will be offered and provide confirmation August 10, 2020. Any abstracts submitted prior to the shift to virtual will still be considered for the conference. You can expect the same high-caliber education virtually as you would receive from our in-person event.

 

Will the ISAM exam still be proctored?

When is the next in-person annual conference? 
The 2021 CSAM Scientific Conference and Annual Meeting will be held October 21-23, 2021, at the Hamilton Convention Centre at Hotel Sheraton.

 

When will the date for the Annual General Meeting (AGM) be announced?
We anticipate holding the AGM virtually in the fall. We will share more information with eligible CSAM members once we have confirmed the details.
