Our pre-conference and post-conference training opportunities are delivered in conjunction with the ISAM-CSAM 2020 conference to make your experience even more valuable. These supplemental education and certification opportunities are not included as part of your ISAM-CSAM conference registration. Separate registration and fees apply. All courses will be delivered in English. Translation services are not available.
ISAM Certification Exam
Presented by the International Society of Addiction Medicine (ISAM)
ISAM’s Certification of Addiction Medicine is a credentialing process that assures the public that the holder has the prerequisite knowledge and competence to practice in the field within the confines of his/her medical license. It offers standardized, valid, and affordable credentialing in addiction medicine for an international membership of practicing physicians.
The examination is composed of 225 multiple choice questions testing knowledge and some clinical judgment. The time for the exam is 4 ½ hours and will be administered in two parts (2 hrs 15 min each) with a 15 min health break in between.
